Who We Are
FBCC – FAITH-BASED, CHRIST-CENTERED
- We are a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church where God’s Word is the authority in the practice and precept of daily living.
- We are a multi-generational congregation whom God has called to connect wisdom and guidance to youth and vitality in order that we grow and serve as one family in Christ.
- We are a missional congregation where God’s purpose for our church extends outside of our physical walls for His glory.
Our Vision
Our Mission
What We Believe
- We believe the Bible to be God’s Word to humanity. It is perfect and inerrant.
- We believe that there is One True God who exists in three persons. He is the creator of all things and the redeemer of mankind. He exists as God the Father, God the Son in the Person of Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.
- We believe God created humanity as male and female. Man fell into sin by his own will and is completely dependent on God for life and salvation.
- We believe that salvation, by grace, is from the Lord and is offered freely to all mankind. It comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that salvation includes repentance, which is turning from sin; faith, which is belief and trust in Jesus Christ; justification, which is the total pardon of all sin; sanctification, which is the certain growth of every Christian in Christlikeness; and glorification, which is the final and ultimate perfection of every Christian.
- We believe that the work of salvation is all of God’s work and none of humanity’s.
- We believe the church is the body of Christ and is expressed as autonomous local congregations worldwide.
- We believe that all Christians observe the two ordinances of the church, which are Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the immersion of believers in water, signifying their union with Christ and the church. It’s the outward expression of the believer’s inward change. The Lord’s Supper is the remembrance of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and our accountability to obedience.
- We believe that the first day of the week is the Lord’s Day, where Christians publicly and privately worship.
- We believe that God, in His own time and way, will bring the world to a right end. Jesus Christ will physically return to earth at that time. The world will be judged, and all Christians will be brought to live together with the Lord in Heaven forever
OUR VALUES
Acts 2:44 captures one of the great principles of the Christian church: “And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” While we esteem and celebrate the uniqueness of every member of the FBCC Faith Family, we value seven core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values CONNECT who we are with Christ, GROW us toward all that God desires to accomplish in us through Christ, and unite us to SERVE in fellowship in Christ. Read on to learn about FBCC’s core values.
- EXCELLENCE
“To advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ …”
The FBCC Faith Family believes that honoring God with our very best is essential to Christian living. The Lord’s name is excellent (Psalm 8:1). Through all of our ministry engagement opportunities and campus facilities, we strive to display excellence in all things to the glory of God and the advancement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Great care is taken to ensure that intentional stewardship is reflected in a wonderful, worshipful atmosphere throughout every aspect of ministry.
- EXPOSITORY PREACHING
“…through preaching of the Gospel…”
In the Scriptures, we have the perfect, inerrant Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16). If God were to speak audibly about what He wants us to know, He would say nothing more, nothing less, and nothing different than what He has provided in His Word. Therefore, the very nature of His Word demands expository preaching (verse-by-verse through the Bible). To preach verse-by-verse through the Bible honors His Word, feeds His people the whole counsel of God, and demands the preacher keep proclaiming God on God’s terms. Effective expository preaching also magnifies Christ since the entire Bible is about Him (Heb. 1:1-2).
- EMPOWERMENT
“…consistent Christian living…”
All believers are empowered by Jesus Christ to live a life fully dedicated to His teachings and purpose (Phil. 4:13). At FBCC, we strive to actively follow His example in every aspect of life, drawing power from the Holy Spirit to overcome challenges and serve others with love and compassion. We are committed to living a life fully guided by Godly principles, not relying solely on our own strength but on the power of God within us.
- EVANGELISM
“…personal evangelism…”
Under the direct commission of Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20, FBCC exists to reach those who have yet to come to faith in Jesus Christ. Our evangelistic programming points toward sharing the message of the Gospel with individuals and families. In every worship setting, a public invitation is given to allow people to respond to this promise of hope and eternal life. Every member of the Faith Family has opportunities to equip themselves for the sharing of their faith in their daily lives and walk with God.
- ENGAGEMENT
“… missionary endeavor …”
Every member of FBCC has a joyful responsibility to fully engage in the life of the church. We ask and encourage members to faithfully volunteer in various areas of church ministry. We challenge every ministry to participate in an outreach activity that extends beyond the walls of our local church. We support ministries that provide missionary work around the world. Finally, we believe that every member is responsible for financially supporting Christ’s work on earth through the Church. By participating in each of these areas of service, a member will experience the fullness of FBCC’s fellowship.
- EQUIPPING
“… Christian education …”
One of the great passions of the FBCC Faith Family is intentionally sharing in the process of Christian growth and development of individuals and families. Through our Christian Life Enrichment Ministry, we provide numerous opportunities for discipleship, both personally and corporately, fostering spiritual growth and maturation. Classes are offered on weekends and throughout the week to strengthen the faith of those who already believe and encourage those on a journey to deepen their faith.
- EXALTATION
“… and the public worship of God.”
FBCC exists to Connect, Grow, and Serve all people…those here and those yet to come. As we develop our Faith Family in Christian living, we desire to see individuals and families strengthened by the Word of God shared, the Love of God experienced, and the Hope of God expressed in testimony. We encourage our faith community to publicly celebrate the freedom God grants us in worship to His glorious name.
Our Mandate
CONNECT. GROW. SERVE.
Read on to learn about FBCC’s mandate.
• CHRIST-CENTERED
Jesus Christ is the focal point of all human existence, history, and the revelation of God in His Word (Luke 24:13-35; John 5:39; Eph. 1:10; Col. 1:16). He must be the supreme focus of our lives as Christians and is our CONNECT as a Faith Family (Col. 1:18). This foundational truth means that we interpret the entire Bible in light of Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation, but it also means that we interpret everything in our lives in light of Jesus Christ and His promised Kingdom (1 Cor. 2:2; Rev. 5:9-10).
• GOSPEL-FOCUSED
Christians do not receive salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then move on to other things. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the key to every aspect of our lives (career, marriage, present, future, relationships, growth, identity, morality, everything). Many Christians and churches do not deny the Gospel, but they move it from its central place. We at FBCC never move on from the Gospel; we simply GROW in a deeper understanding of its profound truth. We must preach the Gospel to ourselves and one another daily. We delight in the fact that not one molecule in the universe moves apart from His sovereign authority, and we wholeheartedly commit our lives to the One who declares that every promise finds its “Yes and Amen!” in Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 1:20).
• COMMUNITY-MINDED
The local church is not simply a group of individuals meeting in the same building each week for personal devotions. Rather, it is a community of believers, a family, the household of faith, a group of people adopted by God, transformed by His grace, united by devotion to Christ and to one another (Eph. 1:22-23; 5:23; Col. 1:18-23). The church is the outpost of the Kingdom of Christ on earth and repudiates the radical, self-focused individualism of our culture (Acts 2:45; 2 Cor. 8:1-15). We loudly confess that we need Jesus and that we need each other. This reality means that we do not simply tolerate ethnic, cultural, and age diversity; we delight in it, recognizing that God’s glory in Christ is proclaimed when the outer distinctions are torn down by the transforming Gospel of Christ (Eph. 2:11-22; Rev. 5:9; 7:9). God’s redemptive plan and purposes are multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multi-generational and must be reflected and treasured in His church as we SERVE Christ and the community.
