Christopher LaMonte Rogers, Sr. affectionally known as Pastor Chris, serves as the 21st Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Chesterfield, MO (FBCC).

Pastor Chris is a native of St. Louis, MO, and began his faith walk at the age 6 in the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, and grew up in the Lite of Jericho Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Reginald D. Rogers, Sr.  He and his family joined FBCC in October 2001, where under the leadership of Dr. T.D. Stubblefield he was licensed in 2008 and ordained in 2012.  During his tenure at FBCC, he has served as the church’s youngest Trustee and the first Assistant to the Pastor for Ministry Support and Administration.  He was also appointed the first Assistant Pastor, where he was instrumental in leading the associate ministerial staff and aiding in pastoral duties and responsibilities.

An avid learner, Pastor Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Webster University (St. Louis, MO), and a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO).  His investment in Christian education is evidenced as he received Advanced Certification in Expository Preaching from the E. K. Bailey Preaching Conference in 2018 (Dallas, TX).  He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY).

In April 2020, following the retirement of Dr. Stubblefield, Pastor Chris assumed the role of Interim Pastor.   As Interim Pastor, he successfully transitioned the congregation to the FBCC Online Campus for Sunday Morning Worship and weekly Christian education classes during the COVID-19 pandemic.  On September 24, 2022, he was extended the call to serve as Senior Pastor and was installed on June 3, 2023.  His ministry is committed to being God’s messenger through “Community, Relationships, Evangelism, Worship and Discipleship” as he is “Chosen to Surrender and Covered to Serve” – Joshua 1:8-9.

A family-oriented man, Pastor Chris is the loving husband to his purpose partner in marriage and ministry, Mrs. Tamra Rogers, a devoted mother and nurturer to their children and grandchildren.  In his private time, he enjoys working with technology and spending quality time with his family.

Pastor Chris is a veteran of the United States Navy and was blessed to have an amazing 22-year career with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), prior to accepting God’s call to serve in full time ministry.  He is a visionary leader who cares about the community and volunteers throughout the Saint Louis Metropolitan area.   He currently serves on the Parkway School District Core Team of Faith Leaders, the Religious Leaders Forum for the Rockwood School District, and the Executive Advisory Board of the Chesterfield YMCA.  He is a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
